Your Frequently Asked Questions

1.  What skills or qualities can I improve through coaching?

You can increase your ability to promote yourself and your organization, dramatically improve your sales and marketing skills as well as your organization’s, and interact with peers, subordinates and superiors with greater efficiency.   Coaching can help you address those personal or organizational challenges that you feel have an impact on your professional performance or that of your organization.   In addition, coaching can be tailored to address a specific situation you are dealing with in order to help you reach your personal or organizational goals.

2.  What can coaching do for me?

♦  It allows you to express yourself freely in a safe environment and enables your coach to

    support your best performance.
♦  It’s an open session where you can discuss your ideas and share your challenges, issues, or

    goals.
♦  It’s an opportunity to discover, experience, and break through your boundaries so that you
  can improve your job performance.

♦  Coaching provides you with a fresh perspective or outlook regarding your circumstances.
You then have real-time options to choose from to determine your next step or course of
  action.

3.  Do you specialize in coaching within certain industries or business sectors?

We have coaching experience and success in the legal profession and with sales professionals in several industries (please see Testimonials and About Your Coach web pages for further details).  However, we have been careful to craft our coaching programs in such a manner that it applies equally well to a number of different professions and industries.  We can address your particular situation directly in our initial-trial coaching session.

4.  How many sessions do you recommend for a typical businessperson or executive?

There is no pat answer.  Each situation and each individual are unique.  Therefore, an initial-trial session is offered to test the waters for mutual compatibility and effectiveness.  If we both agree that our coaching programs can benefit you, the next recommended step is a six-session commitment.  It’s better known as a “starter” engagement in which we explore your business or professional concerns and how best to address and solve them.

5.  How is confidentiality handled?

Your privacy is our top priority.  Every service agreement has a confidentiality statement that all parties sign.

6.  Where are the coaching sessions held?

They can be held at your business location, an agreed-upon meeting place, or by telesession, whichever you prefer.  I recommend meeting for the first time in person whenever possible.

7.  Is there a contract involved?

No there isn’t, but there is a service agreement which we both sign if you agree to use the coaching services after your exploratory coaching session.  A service agreement helps you by defining your level of commitment to the coaching relationship and my commitment to you.  You then decide if it’s in your best interest to be coached.

Our Frequently Asked Questions

1.  How committed are you to making a change for yourself and/or your organization?

Coaching & Beyond can help you discover and initiate what you need to change, how you need to do it, and the best time frame to do so.  As each goal is realized, it motivates you to commit to completing the process.

2.  What resources are available to you to provide objective feedback for the decisions you need to make?

Your coach can be an objective “sounding board” that may not be otherwise available to you in your organization, or that you prefer not to use.

3.  How effective is your personal agenda in achieving success for yourself and others?

The first step in this process is to identify how we can best use your inherent skills and strengths to maximize your ability for success.   Coaching can be instrumental in this process and be the vehicle that you can use to reach your goal.

4. What enhanced skills do you or your company need to help you significantly increase performance?

At Coaching & Beyond, you have a choice of programs and modules that can be tailored to your needs or your company’s so that you can achieve tangible results.
